Preparing for your stay at Lily’s Retreat

Before you bring your cat to us, we’d like to bring your attention to some things that we need from you in advance of your arrival. To comply with DEFRA regulations and also to ensure we give your cat the best possible care, please take the time to register with us.

Please contact us by emailing david@lilysretreat.com so that we can set up an account for you. We will then ask you to register by clicking on BOOK NOW (top right) and completing all the required information about you and your cat as well as signing the agreement so that we have your consent to the required DEFRA conditions.

We will need you to upload or email to us a copy of each cat’s vaccination record and please ensure that it will be valid for the entirety of your cat’s stay with us. Your cat must be inoculated against feline enteritis and flu as a minimum. We also recommend you protect against feline leukaemia. Without a valid vaccination record, we regret we are unable to accept your cat. Please read the vaccination section of our terms and conditions carefully – you must be able to show up to date vaccinations with an unbroken history and even though your vet may advise you that your cat is vaccinated if your inoculations are up to 3 months out of date, we are not able to accept pets on this basis. Please check with us if you are unsure!

Once you’ve registered all your cats you’ll be able to select which cats you want to request a booking for. By booking online you will instantly know if the dates and times you’d like are available. If there isn’t space then you can email us and we’ll reply – usually within 24 hours – to say whether we can add you to the waitlist. If we can accept your cat, we will send you an invoice and booking confirmation and ask you to pay in full to reserve your space. Your booking isn’t confirmed until we receive the payment. Please read our cancellation terms carefully so you understand the process in the event that you need to cancel

Please take this opportunity to ensure that your contact details (especially emergency details while you are away) are up to date so that we can reach you in the unlikely event that your cat requires veterinary treatment whilst in our care.

Finally, we strongly recommend that you keep your cat(s) indoors the day before you come to us. Typically, they know what the sight of suitcases and pet carriers mean and can take this as their cue to disappear causing you some last minute angst!!

We look forward to welcoming your cat to Lily’s Retreat. Our aim is to ensure your cat has a relaxing and enjoyable stay so that you have peace of mind while you’re on holiday. One final word though …. We accept cats by appointment only and we ask you to keep to your agreed time. Please don’t just show up! On Saturdays the arrival or pickup time is restricted to between 08:30 and 09:15 or 16:30 and 17:45. On Sundays it’s 16:30 to 17:45 only. If you are delayed, please just let us know by emailing us or calling 07810-791775.

Many thanks for choosing Lily’s Retreat!
